Bob was a wonderful man who lived life the way it should be lived, with complete devotion to his family, community, and the land that he loved. My husband and I purchased the original Day farm from the Engelkes ten years ago. Like Dan and Tammie, we are forever grateful to be raising our 3 boys on the Day farm! I feel a special connection to the Day family. From the stories we have heard about the old farmhouse, the initials carved into the wood beams of the barn, the pencil-written notes on the back of the milkhouse door, to the many visits I have shared with my wonderful neighbor Jan, Bob's spirit lives on. With deepest sympathy, Mitch and Mary Schauff and Boys.

Where would you start! My wife and I bought Bob and Pam’s original family farm house and farm buildings on the south edge of REWEY. The first time I met Bob was at his farm on County A. I stopped to inquire about this farmette that was being sold. I was driving a Subaru and pulled up to see Bob blowing silage up the silo. That was the first day of our family relationship and many gatherings we had with Bob and his family. I recall Bob stating later, after we made the purchase, he saw this guy coming up to the silos when he was busy driving a Subaru, so likely was a spoon salesman or the like!!!! Thanks Bob, and family for all the wonderful memo that my wife and my two kids had while we lived in REWEY at the original Day farm! Kindly Dan and Tammie Engelke
