My heart is filled with sadness to learn of Teddy's passing. She lived just three doors down from us. Teddy often joined me when I was walking to work and she always stopped to chat with us when we were outside. We'll be taking over hosting the Homecoming Tent this fall as we just purchased the house next to us. We'll have to have the foundation do something special for this Homecoming in Teddy's honor. My sympathies to the family - and to her "extended family" here in Platteville as many of us thought of her as family. I know I did.

I am so very sorry to hear about cousin Teddy. I always enjoyed my time with her and am so very sorry that I have not been back to see her in such a long time. I always enjoyed her "chatty" Christmas letters and was very surprised to only get a card from her this year. I heartfelt sorrow to all of you. With love, Barbara

I knew Miss McNett as a teacher at Franklin in the 70's. She was a kind, very smart woman. She and I have something in common the love of reading. I love going to the library also. May God be with you in this time of sorrow. She was a great lady to all that knew her. Patty Ellefson

Miss McNett was my English teacher for two years at Franklin Jr. High in Janesville, WI. She team taught with Mr. Ryan, and I loved coming to class everyday. I returned to Franklin during my Senior year of college at U.W.-Whitewater requesting information for research on standards in English, and Miss McNett provided me with the materials I requested. She allowed me to sit and hand copy the objectives, not use a copy machine, which would require much less work! It gave me the opportunity to tell her how much I appreciated her teaching and also let her know that I was soon to be an English teacher as well. She was a wonderful example in and out of the classroom.

Ms. McNett was my teacher at Franklin in Janesville. She cared for her students and it showed. I appreciate what she taught me, at one of the most difficult times in life, 6, 7 and 8th grade.
