She was a friend all my life. I remember walking the country roads together as teens. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. And now she receives her reward for all eternity. We are happy for her.

I always enjoyed speaking to Mabel. I don't remember how or when I first met her....many many years ago though. Such a talented lady and such a beautiful smile. When I went to her house I always was treated with seeing her new photographs that she took and also listening to her talking about her children. My Mom, Bev McCabe, wrote a story about her in the Platteville Journal too. What a treasure Mabel was to Platteville. Please except my sympathy for a dear woman. Pam McCabe Wunderlin

Mabel was a blessing to all who knew her. She had a real love for all God's creatures from crows and squirrels to cows and even some pretty unlikely people, and a way of helping others see the beauty and worth she percieved. She had a quick wit, a keen sense of humor and a ready smile. My heart and prayers are with those who loved her most. I pray that you feel her presence in each bird's song, every blossom, the touch of the breeze.
