Evan, I'm sending my most sincere thoughts to you, your wife and your two sons at this time. I worked with your father for many years at Counseling Services and have such fond memories of the time spent with him. I loved and appreciated his sense of humor, but also his commitment to and love for his family. I am so sorry for your loss. Deirdre Dalsing

Rick was a great friend to have , went on many vacations with him and his wife Ellen and their son Evan . Will miss his sense of humor and his knowledge of sports and politics . Always a joy to be around when we were fishing , playing cards or softball . He will be missed in our circle of friends we have gathered threw the years . I met Sparky in 1973 I have fond memories of our time's together from young adults to attending each others weddings to our retirement . He will be missed especially when the UW Badgers play he was always dedicated to as true fan and alumnus .

To the Voelz Family, My name is Jerry Gurtner, I am deeply saddened by the passing of my dear friend Sparky. I was one of the groomsman in his wedding and played softball with him for many years. Though we grew apart over the years he was in my thoughts frequently. He was always there with a good story and a laugh! My deepest sympathies to Evan and the entire family. Rest In Peace My Dear Friend! Regards, Jerry Gurtner

Played softball with Sparky, sat behind him at Badger Football games and spent some quality time with him at St. Mary's a few weeks ago when we were both there. I am so saddened to learn of his passing. He was a good guy and will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family.
