Mike was generous beyond belief with his talents. My sincerest condolences to Deb, Nick and Derek.

My memories of "Muckle Mike" as we called him when we were little, are very good ones. He helped my dad put together a car for one of my science projects, took us around our yard on a snowmobile and told us many interesting tall tales that I don't remember anymore. He was always so much fun. He will be greatly missed!!

My deepest sympathy to the family. I worked with Mike at the University. He was always there to help with any task that was needed. We had many long conversations at work about the job, dogs, gardening, and life in general. I really missed him when he retired and stopped to see him at home a few times. I especially remember his famous jerky. Best I have ever eaten. I will always remember his kindness and generosity. Rest in peace my friend.
