David Buren

David was a great professor with interest in helping students and faculty and staff. He brought his CJ classes to the library where I instructed them in the research of CJ topics. He served well on the Faculty Senate and numerous committees and Commissions. The University was the better for his numerous services and contributions. He was well liked by everyone and I considered him a great colleague and friend. So sorry to hear of his passing. Bryan Schwark, Retired Associate Professor of Library

Rest In Peace David. You are missed. Our condolences to the family and friends. David was a great professor and friend. We will always remember getting thoroughly defeated when we played Trivial Pursuit with Dave and Barb in the 1980’s. We shared some meals, some drinks and memories many times. We reconnected in recent years since Our daughter Jill found love with Eric. Jim & Jan Enfelt

Sorry to hear of his passing. Dr. Van Buren was my professor for both Intro to CJ and also Research Methods. Always was an engaging instructor with a good sense of humor that kept class interesting.
