Obituary

Todd Frederick Baker, 65, of Platteville, passed away of natural causes unexpectedly in his home on Sunday, November 14, 2022. A man with a kind heart and a gentle soul, will be missed.

Todd was born in Platteville,WI July 6, 1957 to Lee and Fredonia(Whitted) Baker. He graduated from Platteville High School in 1975. After graduation, he continued to farm on the home dairy farm for many years. Later in life, he dabbled as a handyman with many skills. Todd had a talent for music and loved playing his drums and singing. In leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and his life in the country.


Todd is survived by his father, Lee J. Baker and stepmother Marilyn(Burbach)Baker; four sisters, Terri(Steve)Eigen, Tana Allan, Toni Parish, Tricia(Paul)Zeigle; one brother, Ted Baker; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, brother Tim, brother Tom, and paternal and maternal grandparents.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date to honor Todd's life. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.

I'm sorry for your loss to the family. I knew him from him taking the cab here in town, (platteville). I got to know who he was as a person. He was a great guy with a great sense of humor. Rip todd

My sympathies to Todd's family. I last talked with him a couple years ago, reminiscing about classmates. He was beautiful inside and out. My heart goes out to you all.
