Dave was in my shop when my wife came home from work one very hot summer day with water just dripping off her. Dave was our township assessor at the time and she asked him how much our taxes would go up if we installed a pool. He told her if it was in the back yard at ground level our taxes would not up because he would not be able to see it from the road while driving by. We never got the pool but she always had a soft spot in her heart for Dave.

Please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers on the recent passing of David...Karen was in school at UWP when I was and I remember her as being so sweet and kind...we might have been in band together (clarinet) and Maquoketa is almost home when I drive north from Peoria/Platteville....Spink is such a familiar family name in Platteville area.
