Delores Seitz

Delores Mary Seitz, 94, formerly of Platteville, WI, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2023. Delores was born December 5, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Platteville as a young child. She lived her life with grace, fortitude, curiosity, and a great depth of love for her family. 

In addition to raising a family and managing her home and many flower gardens, Delores worked outside the home at the Platteville Battery Factory and the Univ of Wisc-Platteville as a food service manager. Along the way she and her husband of 65 years, Donald, loved to travel and spend time at their cottage in Hatfield, WI. After retirement Delores volunteered for her church and numerous Platteville programs/charities. She loved the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and reading.

Delores is preceded in death by parents Faun Durni and Phyllis Klar; brother, Duane Durni; husband, Donald Seitz; and sons, Donald Leo Seitz and Michael Ray Seitz. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Gray; her grandchildren, Brian Filip, Sara Wiech, Max Seitz, Katja Seitz, and Abbey Seitz, and her great grandchildren Dominic Filip, Ava Wiech, Evan Wiech, and Finley Filip.

Delores will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband and sons at a private family service in the Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, WI. 

In lieu of cards/memorials, the family requests you smell a flower, read a book, or enjoy a good meal in her memory.

Delores made the world a better place. She will be missed.
