Paula Jean “Pooh Bear” Lyght-Brogley, 58, of Big Patch, Wisconsin, died on Friday, June 30, 2023 at her home of natural causes. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of the celebration at the funeral home. Burial will be at Big Patch Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.
Paula was born on May 21, 1965 in Platteville, Wisconsin, daughter of Orville and Phyllis Jean (Carr) Lyght. Paula graduated from Platteville High School, class of 1983. She worked in food service for over 20 years at UW-Platteville. She enjoyed traveling and seeing the country, reading and was an avid Winnie the Pooh fan. Paula especially cared and loved her family.
She is survived by her love of her life, Todd “Opie” Brogley; children, Kaitlin Brogley, Tiffany (Shawn) Brogley-Jefferson, Tanya Brogley and Jesse Brogley; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters and brothers, Peggy (John) Steffes, Raymond (Sue Darrow) Lyght, Terry Lyght, Janet Vinger and Joann Tindell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Justin “Fuzz” and John Brogley and her parents.
