Ilah F. Harvey,94 of Platteville, Wisconsin died on Tuesday, July 18 2023. Private family graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.
Ilah was born on February 17, 1929 in Platteville, the daughter of John L. and Viola M. (Wagner) Mellor. Ilah was united in marriage to Bill Harvey on November 27, 1974 in Platteville. She worked for UW-Platteville for 31 years, receiving two awards from Governor Anthony Earl and from the Board of Regents for her outstanding meritorious service to the cause of a higher education. Ilah retired in 1985. She was a member of the Platteville United Methodist Church.
Ilah is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sally Redfern; three grandsons, Scott Redfern, Aaron (Jaime) Redfern and Kyle Redfern; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Reece and Jackson Redfern. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, son, Mark Redfern, and her three brothers, Donny, Lyle and Merlin.
