Obituary

Aron J. Sander, 64, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Aron was born on October 24, 1958 in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Dale and Betty (Taylor) Sander. He graduated from Platteville High School, class of 1977. He was united in marriage to Sheral Vaclavik on July 22,2001 . Aron worked in maintenance for many years, at Parkview Terrace, Platteville, Skyline, Lancaster and Avista, Platteville. He most recently worked in production at Saputo Cheese in Belmont, Wisconsin. Aron enjoyed doing woodworking and taking time to smoke meat low and slow.

Aron is survived by his wife, Sheral; sisters, Connie (Robert) Striffolino, Sherry (Dusty) Pothour, LeAnn (Rich) Hoffmann, Avonne (Chuck) Bonin, and Lori (Steve) Gehrke; brothers, Kent (Mary Ann) Sander, Steve (Deb) Sander, and Lee (Joan) Sander father and mother-in-law, Dr. Charles and Katie Vaclavik, brother-in-law, Jordan Vaclavik; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Betty Sander.

Aron was such a kind soul. I remember how he used to push almost my entire class on the merry-go-round at Doudna. We little kids loved that so much! My sympathies to Sheral and the rest of his family.

I've known Aron since first grade at Doudna. Reconnected with him at the 20th class reunion and then on FB. His kindness, humor, and smile will be missed by so many of us.
