Kathleen Arneson

Kathleen Ann (Gilligan) Arneson, 84, died November 13, 2023 in Platteville WI. Kathleen was married to Joe Arneson after meeting him on a blind date while at Mundelein College, now part of Loyola University in Chicago. Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She gave of her time to her faith and her extended family.  

She is survived by her children - Jennifer Arneson, Jeffrey Arneson, Janet (Dalen Popp) Hentrich, Joan (Ron) Herbert and Jason (Kate) Arneson. She is also survived by her grandchildren - Megan (Ryan) Langmeier, Alyssa (John) Hennings, John (Paige) Hentrich, Mike (fiancée Sammy Wolff) Herbert and Logan Arneson, 4 great grandchildren, brother-in-law Mike Wright, bonus grandchildren/great grandchildren and her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Arneson, her parents Alice and Francis Gilligan, her brother Richard “Dick” Gilligan, in-laws Edward and Gertrude Arneson, son in law Joseph Hentrich, brother-in-law Rev. James Arneson, sisters-in-law Anne Bruce, Becky Wright and Patricia Gilligan.

There will be a private graveside service in the future at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines IL.  At the family's request in lieu of flowers any memorials can be made for Kathleen A Arneson (nee Gilligan) to Loyola University at LUC Alumni Relations - GIVING TO LOYOLA – Gift Information (imodules.com).
