Dennis Hoffman

Dennis C. Hoffman, 72, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Dennis was born in Platteville on August 15, 1951, son of Charles and Marian (Specht) Hoffman. He went to Platteville High School. He took over his dad's service station, Hoffman Zephyr, when his dad became ill. Later Dennis worked for City of Platteville, Parks and Rec for 24 years, retiring in 2021. Dennis enjoyed fishing, tending to the birds and dogs in the neighborhood and enjoying a refreshment on his front porch. He was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed Sponge Bob Square Pants.

Dennis is survived by his four children, Melisa Womack, Jeb Hoffman, Charles Hoffman, and Tamara Hoffman; five grandchildren, Josh and Jourdan Womack, Paiden Kastner, Taddly Hoffman and Adriana Eastlick; one great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Marie Munson; two sisters, Judy (Ron) Iverson and Shelly (Duane) Knox; one brother, Larry (Terrie) Hoffman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Womack, his parents and brother, Troy Hoffman.
