Obituary

Joan C. Miller, 78, of Belmont, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side of endometrial cancer.  Joan was born on September 26, 1945 in Platteville, Wisconsin, daughter of Milton and Elizabeth “Jean” (Snyder) Knebel.  She graduated from Belmont High School and later from Madison Business College.  Joan was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” Miller on August 17, 1966 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Belmont.

Joan worked at the Cuba City Doctor's Clinic for 15 years and later for Land's End for 20 plus years. She enjoyed many hobbies; crafting and sewing, where she made her daughters outfits when they were young, and later several Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren, tending to her flowers, and decorating.  She was a Red Hatter, bowled in mixed couples league for over 30 years and played euchre in card club.  She enjoyed her lunch dates with her sisters, co-workers and friends and also enjoyed attending programs at Southwest Health including the Diabetes Club.  Joan and Jerry enjoyed traveling the US in their retirement and prior to that many trips "Up North" to Joan's parent's cabin on Amacoy Lake.

May we all learn from Joan's example to be the better person, stay positive and patient, love hard, be generous, and see the best in others. Her spirit and memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
