Obituary

Ember Rose Blum, daughter of Felicia Khaled and Ethan Blum was born on July 6, 2024 at Grant Regional Hospital, Lancaster.  Ember was born into eternal life on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from PDH deficiency, a very rare condition that affects one of 50,000 new borns.

Ember is survived by her parents, Ethan Blum and Felicia Khaled; big brother, Eastyn Dallas Blum; grandparents, Cindy and Jason Timmerman and Joy and Dennis Blum; aunts and uncles, Samantha (Ben VanDeWiel) Khaled, Elise, Alexa and Ricky Timmerman and Clare (Bryant Digman) Blum.  Ember was preceded in death by her grandfather Saad Khaled; great-grandparents, Patricia Nagorski, Bob and Karen Noll and Pete and Janet Blum and great-aunt, Patty Fretueg.

Ember's life will be celebrated on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville.  A graveside service will follow immediately afterwards at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville.  Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate.  Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.
