Mary Jane Hartz, 86, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Friday, July 12, 2024. Mary was born on November 20, 1937 in Lancaster, Wisconsin, daughter of Joseph and Viola (Parish) Kehoe. Mary was united in marriage to Raymond “Ray” Hartz on September 3, 1966 in Lancaster, Wisconsin.
Mary worked for National Decorated Metals, Prairie du Chien, Loudspeaker Components, Lancaster for over 20 years, and later at Southwest Health Center Hospital until she retired. Mary enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with Ray on his Harley Davidson, she also liked to crochet and counted cross stitch.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ray, two sons, Brian (Megan) Jeffers, and Douglas (Lisa) Hartz; four grandchildren, Will Hartz, Alex Hartz, Courtney (Mitch) Knockel and Sam (Mariah) Jeffers; three great-grandchildren, Aaron, Mira and Cecelia Jeffers; brother, Melvin (Sue) Kehoe; sister, Alice (Fred) Hicks and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Shane Jeffers, brothers, Delvin Kehoe, Ronnie and Robert Matthews and sister, Nola Klar.
Funeral services will be at Noon, Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Burial will be at Whig Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.
