John Alan Moore, 70, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Friday, January 3, 2025. Alan, or Alaerian as so many friends knew him, was born on June 30, 1954, in Macon, Georgia, son of Thomas and Dorothy (Coughlin) Woolsey. He was united in marriage to Teresa Burns on August 2, 2008.
Alan was a musician and computer technician who wrote about and taught ceremonial magic. He loved to play music, especially guitar, harp, flute, and piano. He also loved computer gaming.
Alan is survived by his wife, Teresa Burns; step-daughters Pamela Burns and Monica Nordgren; sister, Susan Ward Hotchkiss; and brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Tania Wolsey. He was preceded in death by his parents.
