Donald A. Prill, 92, of Platteville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at SW Health in Platteville. Don married Nancy Dinelli in 1962. He had a long career as a farm manager for several cattle operations in Wisconsin and Illinois. He was a devoted family man to his 3 children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren teaching them all respect for life and the land. He was also a passionate fan of the Green Bay Packers, warm beer and Hereford Cattle, in no particular order.
Don is survived by his wife, Nancy, son Kevin (Tracy) their children Jessica (Brian) Heinz, Clayton (Andrea), and Ean (Brie), daughter Gretchen Bimrose – her sons Nathan (Elaine) and Noah, daughter Alicia (Arnold) Prill-Adams– their sons Jacob (Regan) and Cody. The family wishes to thank everyone for their kind words and sympathy. Our dad was one of those people who was not famous, he did not seek fame, he did not create any great invention or win awards for doing his job. Dad was ‘The Farmer' and he loved that job. Don was a man of honor and integrity; he got up every day to do his part to feed our world and care for his family. We loved and respected him for who he was and how he lived. Hopefully everyone has known someone like this that inspires you and the way you live. Thank you, Dad, for the man you were and thank you for being our father. We will miss you.
Per Don's wishes, there will not be any visitation or formal services. Melby Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family. Online condolence can be expressed at www.melbyfh,com.
