Larry Bellis

Larry D. Bellis, 67, of Platteville, WI died Monday, February 17, 2025, at Lafayette County Manor, Darlington.  He was born on September 8, 1957, in Mt. Hope, WI, the son of Herbert, Sr. and Leila (Guerney) Bellis.  Larry worked for Northeast Iowa Silo Co.  His silo construction job took him to many states in the Midwest including Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and considered himself an outdoor sportsman.  He loved being a great jokester.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Bellis, 4 grandchildren, sisters, Helen Ellenboldt, Marge Adams, Diane (Sam) Ramsey, Charlene (Tom) Wahlert and Susi Walrod, brother, Herb (Carol Johnson) Bellis.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Kenny, Allen, David, Robert “Bobby”, Donald and Gary, sisters, Sharon Freymiller and Linda Stitzer.

The family gives special thanks to the Lyghthouse in Platteville and Lafayette County Manor of Darlington, WI for the special care given to Larry.

Per Larry's wishes, there will not be any formal services at this time. Burial will be at the Little Grant Cemetery, at a later date.  Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, WI is assisting the family.  Online condolences can be expressed at www.melbyfh.com.
