Obituary

Phyllis J. Heinrichs, 91, of Dodgeville and formerly of Belmont, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, September 13, 2025.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Belmont Methodist Church.  Burial will be at the Belmont Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Memorials may be made to the Phyllis Heinrichs Memorial Fund.  Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.  

Phyllis was born on July 13, 1934, in Elk Grove Township, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harold and Frances (Todd) Huntington.  She was united in marriage to Keith Heinrichs on August 28, 1954.  He preceded her in death on December 14, 1988.  

Phyllis graduated from Belmont High School in 1952. She worked for many years for Mound City Bank in Platteville and Belmont.  She was a lifetime member of the Belmont Methodist Church.  She and Keith enjoyed traveling and had many good times with friends.  She had a beautiful sense of humor and loved to cook and bake for her family.  She and Keith treasured their kids, grandkids and great-grandkids and the time they spent together.  

Phyllis is survived by her two children, Ken (Kim) Heinrichs and Cindy (Don) Leix; five grandchildren, Jamie (Kelly) Heinrichs, Emily (Brian) Lynd, Jesse (Emma) Heinrichs, Ross (Marta) Leix and Brian (Morgan) Leix; 17 great-grandchildren, Beckett, Blake, Sloan and Hollis Heinrichs, Lilly, Sophie, Oscar and Archer Lynd, Lennon and Louie Heinrichs, Tucker, Britton, Taya and Waylyn Leix, Baylee, Grady, and Sawyer Leix; sister, Carol (Jim) Kirkpatrick; special friend, Gary Lovell and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, great-granddaughter, Hadlee Leix, her parents, and sisters, Beverly (Ralph) Duncan and Lois (Rocky) Lipska.  

The family would like to give a special THANKS to the staff of Crest Ridge Assisted Living and Edenbrook of Platteville, for the care and assistance given to their mother, Phyllis.
