Obituary
Lisa Lynn Anthony, age 48 of Cuba City died on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 16, 1977 in Dubuque, Iowa to Joseph and Anna Lynn (Voss) Monahan. Lisa grew up in Hazel Green where she attended grade school and graduated from the Southwestern High School. She joined the United States Army where she served as a medic. After being discharged, she lived in Hazel Green and the surrounding area. She served as an EMT in Hazel Green for many years. She met Jerome “Jerry” Anthony in Kieler. They spent many years together, and then were married on May 28, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler where she became a member. Lisa farmed with Jerry for many years. She was a wonderful mother. Family was the focus of her life. She loved taking her kids to the many events they were involved in, including dance and gymnastic recitals, basketball and football games, band concerts and horse events. She always loved going to Black River Falls to go deer hunting with her father, and enjoyed farm and cow sales. Lisa and Jerry loved riding their Harley motorcycles together enjoying the local countryside. She also rode Harleys with her father. She enjoyed her closest friends very much. Lisa's family was also happy that she was able to be an organ donor.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Jerry Anthony of Cuba City; her 5 children, Tristan (Gabriel) Monahan of Fort Riley in Kansas, Trevor Monahan of Platteville; and Isabella, Elizabeth and Analyse Anthony of Cuba City; two grandchildren that she was very proud of, Malakai and Micah Monahan; a sister, Sarah Boarland of Hazel Green; a brother Dennis “Dean” (Annette) Monahan of West Bend; and many nieces; She was preceded in death by her parents; an aunt Sandra Goecks; a niece Megan Molzof; and her mother-in-law Carol Anthony. The family also wants to express their thanks to Agrace Hospice for their loving care.
A visitation for Lisa Anthony will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler. Also visitation will continue Thursday, September 25th from 9:45 AM until 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler. Fr. Tom Kelley will officiate. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Kieler. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville is assisting the family.
