Robert Nodorft

Robert C. “Bob” Nodorft, 75, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, January 17, 2025, peacefully at his home.  Bob was born on February 2, 1950, in Platteville, the son of Burton R. and Maxine E. (Corlett) Nodorft.  

Bob was united in marriage to Tareasa Richter on September 30, 1978, at First English Lutheran Church, Platteville.  He enlisted in the United States Airforce in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1973.  Bob returned home and worked for his father in the livestock business.  He later owned his own trucking business until he retired in the 80's.  Later Bob worked for his father-in-law, at Town & Country Tire until 1997, and then he worked at Weldon Tire, retiring again in 2012.

Bob had a quick-witted sense of humor and was as honest as the day was long.

Bob is survived by his wife, Tareasa “Tarrie”; brother, Thomas Nodorft; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sharon Nodorft,  Patricia Alexander, Lauri (Jim) Schwantes, Christine Zirk, Richard Zirk, Michelle (Dale) Folwarski, Gary (Robin) Richter; nieces and nephews, John and Scott (Cara) Nodorft, Kenny (Rachel Woods) Richter, Jenny (Adam) Bergman, Christian (Angela) Robinson, Byan Eck, Stacey Eck, CJ (Adrienne) Alexander, Kyle (Victoria) Richter, Jeff (Nicole) Schwantes, Katie (John) Stamm, Ben Folwarski, Mary Lou Folwarski, Jackson Folwarski and great-nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Doug Nodorft, father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Mary Lou Richter.   

Funeral services will be held at Noon, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Chapel military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post 5274, Platteville.  Burial will be at a later date.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Memorial may be made to the Robert Nodorft Memorial Fund, PO Box 245, Platteville, Wisconsin 53818.  Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.
