Mary Jo Marrese, 92, of Platteville, Wisconsin, formerly of York, Pennsylvania, died on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Mary was born on June 16, 1933, in Befaro, Castelli, Italy, the daughter of Giacinto and Anastasia (Carmine) DiBlasio. She was married to Andy Marresse.
She worked for many years at American Chain & Cable, in York, Pennsylvania as a purchasing agent. She later worked in sales for Phaltz Graff Pottery. In the mid 2000's she moved to Platteville to be with her sister, Norma Whisenant. Mary enjoyed travelling extensively alone and with others. She was enamored with the beautiful historical places of the world and truly enjoyed the many multi-faceted cultures she experienced, as she visited over 32 countries.
She loved family and friends and her home foremost. She was especially creative with her decorative crafts of stenciling and lifetime of collecting antiques, especially her beloved, Hatpins. In the later years she experienced several medical ailments which she overcame for the most part, as her spirit, resolve and independence to take care of herself was always a creed she lived by.
Mary is survived by her son, Bud Marrese, his wife, Natalia and grandson, Dominic Marrese; sister, Norma Whisenant; brother, Joe DiBlasio and numerous nieces and nephews.
