Margaret "Peggy" Gerber

Margaret “Peggy” Ann Gerber, 75, of Platteville, WI, died on Saturday, May 16, 2026.  Per Peggy’s wishes, there will not be any formal funeral services. Peggy was born June 21, 1950, the daughter of Robert and Edith (Stead) Davis.  On April 8, 1967, she was united in marriage to Ronald Gerber and they were later divorced.  She farmed, worked for Dick’s Supermarket Bakery and finally as a custodian for University of Wisconsin-Platteville.  Peggy enjoyed traveling, horseback riding and white-water rafting.  She collected pig figurines and various other artifacts.

Peggy is survived by her daughters, Sandy (Brian) Schroeder and Tracy (Richard Matti) Gerber, grandchildren, Jessica (Tom) Cooper, Samantha Schroeder and Wayne Schroeder, great grandchildren, Amaya and Briella, sisters, Alyce Bohn and Mary Lou Shirmer, brother, Jack (Janet) Davis and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard “Deacon” Davis and William “Edgar” Davis.  “Love you long time – Later Hoser!”
