Kevin Nehls

Kevin Nehls, age 49, of Benton, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on March 23, 2026. Born June 8, 1976 in Lancaster, WI., he was the beloved son of Richard and Karen (Keuter) Nehls.

Kevin was a graduate of Platteville High School, Class of 1995, and pursued further education at Southwest Tech in Fennimore, Wisconsin. He was a dedicated employee at Insight FS in Darlington, where he was known for his commitment and expertise.

Kevin is survived by his parents, his girlfriend Heather Forseth at home and his loving sons: Bryce, Blaine, Ashton, and Mason, who were the joy of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Sara (Jacob) Hibner of Livingston, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Clarence and Elizabeth Nehls and Eldrew and Nancy Keuter and his aunt: Marie Martin.

In his free time Kevin enjoyed camping, riding his UTV, spending time with the boys on the dirtbike and 4-wheelers, and attending all of their school functions. He and Heather enjoyed shooting pool together, he was a constant in Heather's life always making sure she was taken care of even following her on her motorcycle to make sure she was safe. Above all he loved his family, there was nothing he wouldn't do for them and took every opportunity to make sure that his family knew how much he loved them.

Kevin’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. His steadfast spirit, dedication to his family, and warm heart will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Melby Funeral Home with Pastor Brenda Crossfield officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the Melby Funeral Home in Platteville from 2:00- 6:00 PM and again on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 10:00-10:45 until time of services.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the angel that performed CPR at Darlington Ridge Farms, Shullsburg EMS and the staff at Southwest Health for their care of Kevin and their family at this difficult time.

In leiu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Kevin's name.
