Roger J. “Buck” Reuter, 66, of Platteville, WI passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at his home of natural causes. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville, WI. The visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Buck, as many knew him as, was born on February 24, 1960 in Platteville, the son of James and Ila (Louthain) Reuter. He worked for Belair, Cobb Canning Factory and retired from Saputo Cheese last year.
Buck loved hunting rabbits, deer, bear and morel mushrooms. Fishing was a passion that he truly loved. He loved spending time with his family and playing cards. Buck was an avid fan of the Packers and NASCAR. He also loved to watch his grandsons in youth wrestling.
Buck is survived by his two daughters, Brooke Reuter and Anna (Kyle) Reuter, their mother and friend, Patty Reuter, grandsons, Rodgie and Lincoln, brothers, Randy “Spider” (Cheryl), Rodney “Hard” and James “Dobber”, nephews, Jamie Reuter, Jennifer Reuter and Richie Reuter and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Rodgie in 2000, granddaughter, Faith Ann, brother, Richie “Twig” and niece, Rachel Ann in 2021.
