Robert K. Woods, 76, of Platteville, formerly of Mazomanie, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services, Platteville. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Chapel military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post #5274. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Robert was born on September 16, 1938 in Platteville, the son of Harry H. and Bessie Mae Woods. He was united in marriage to Donna Berkan on September 7, 1957 at First English Lutheran Church, Platteville. Bob served in the United States Air Force for eight years. He worked at UW-Hospital, Madison, in maintenance for 27 years retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing and cars. He is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Bobby Woods; sister, Helen (John) Klosterman; sister & brother-in-law, Sharon and Ron Johnsen. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harry, Jr. in infancy, Richard and William Woods, and sister, Margaret in infancy.
