Bert and his wife, Lucille, became our neighbors in 2005 when we purchased our first house in Platteville. He was a gentle, caring, good man who treated me and my husband Jason like family and loved my kids so very much. He was always there for us. Even after we moved in 2011, we would regularly visit him and you couldn’t help but have a smile on your face when you left. That is just the kind of man he was. Bert, we miss and love you. Always.
