Frances Hinderman

Frances E. Hinderman, 91, of Platteville died on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services, Platteville. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. Burial will be at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Tennyson. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, where there will be a parish rosary at 3:45 p.m.; friends may also call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. Frances was born on July 11, 1923 in British Hollow, Grant County the daughter of Raymond and Leola (Abing) Fine. She was united in marriage to Edwin A. Hinderman on May 26, 1942 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tennyson. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1963. Frances worked with her husband, Edwin, when he built and opened Hinderman's Truck Stop/Ed's Café in Platteville. She then worked at the Governor Dodge Inn for over 20 years until she retired. She was a member of St. Mary's and later St. Augustine's Catholic Churches, where she was active in the CCW. When younger she enjoyed playing cards in her card club in Dickeyville, Wisconsin. Frances loved to grow roses and took great pride in tending to her rose gardens. She is survived by her six children, Judy (Merv) Hying; Larry Hinderman; Bob Hinderman; Doris (John) Hareland; Mary Kay (Kim) Cairy; and Tim Hinderman; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Pat Fine and Marie Hinderman; brother-in-law, John (Mary Lou) Hinderman and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, twins in infancy, brother, Donald Fine, sisters, Lucille Blum, Delores Roth, and Virginia McDermott.
