Jeanette M. Winn, 96 of Iowa City, Iowa, formerly of Belmont, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Oaknoll Retirement Residence, Iowa City. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Belmont. Rev. Monte Robinson will officiate. Burial will be at the Belmont Cemetery, Belmont. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Jeanette Winn Memorial Fund. Jeanette was born on January 22, 1918 in Paoli, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jacob and Lillian (Ellefs) Schaller. She was united in marriage to Delbert W. Winn on October 19, 1940. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1991. She worked as a library aid at the Belmont Schools for many years. Before she was married she taught school for a couple years. She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, Belmont. She is survived by her children, David (Janet) Winn of Red Bluff, CA; Nancy (Dennis) Alt of Hudson, IA; Philip (JoAnn) Winn of Valrico, FL daughter-in-law, Janan Winn of North Liberty, IA; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Solberg of Verona, WI and eleven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Christine Winn, son, Alan Winn, two brothers, Russell and Frederick Schaller and sister, June Caruso.
