Obituary

Bonnie Waller, 84, of Potosi, died on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, Iowa, with family members present. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tennyson, WI. Father Richard Leffler will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery, Taylor, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, or from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the church. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Memorials may be made to the Bonnie Waller Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Bonnie was born on February 24, 1930 in Boscobel, WI, the daughter of James and Alma (Rogers) Barr. She was united in marriage to Lester Waller Sr. on April 2, 1950 in Boscobel. They raised three children. After moving to Dickeyville, WI she became a Cub Scout Den Mother. Bonnie and Lester enjoyed dancing, playing euchre and 31. Bonnie worked, most recently, at the Bridal Boutique in Platteville as a seamstress. Sewing, knitting and crocheting were her favorite pastimes. After Lester Sr's death on July 4, 1996, Bonnie moved to Potosi, Wisconsin where she enjoyed putting together puzzles and playing Bejeweled. Bonnie also loved her cats. Bonnie was a member of SS. Andrew-Thomas Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Terry (Sheryl) Waller; Melvin Waller; Lester (Youngsil) Waller Jr; daughter-in-law, Mila Waller; grandchildren, Christine, Melomi, Angelica, and Alexandra; great-grandchild, Maya; sister, Alma June Nolan; and brother, Roger Barr. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, three sisters, and grandchild.
