She worked as a CNA at the Platteville Hospital for a number of years. She then became a dental assistant for Dr. Richard Doeringsfeld for 15 years before retiring with her husband to Florida, where they spent almost 20 wonderful years before returning to Platteville in 2006. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at Gray's Nursing Home for their excellent care of Colly. Special thanks to physicians' assistant, Nancy Swales, for her comfort and care. “God saw you were getting weary, the hill to steep to climb, he put his arms around you, and whispered, peace be thine.”
