Dear Myrtle and Family We are saddened to hear of Don's passing. We will always remember him as a loving, caring and happy friend and neighbor. Rarely did we see one of you and not the other, and together you two made a better world for all of us. God bless you Myrtle and Family and may Don RIP. We moved to Menomonie a little over a year ago due to Charlie's health and we do miss Platteville.

Don was a wonderful man and I thoroughly enjoyed obtaining my Eagle Scout under his leadership. He will be missed. I am praying for the family and friends. Philippians 4:13

Donnie was loved. He had a way of telling stories that made everyone happy. Donnie use to help coach our women softball team, first base coach. That was all the incentive one needed to get a single because we all knew every time you'd reach base he had a joke to tell you. Sure made the other team wonder what was so funny. I am so sorry I won't be able to give my sympathies to the family in person. Our family is traveling to Rosemont, IL to watch our daughter Morgan play volleyball; which we know Don was an avid fan of, he told us how much he liked to watch her play. We will all miss Donnie at the Hillmen games he was a true fan. I am so sorry for your loss and so glad he was a part of my life memories, Janet (Schambow) Stecklein and family
