Linda Lou Jones, 68, of Cuba City, WI, passed away on Monday June 8, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, IA, from complications of appendicitis. Due to her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. A private memorial will be held at a later date. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family. Linda was born on February 10, 1947 in Platteville, the daughter of George and Mary (Chandler) Polkinghorn. She was united in marriage to Stephen Jones on March 6, 1965. Linda worked at Fendall, Advance Transformer, the Adams Co., and retired from the Desoto House in Galena, IL. She loved the Packers, Badgers, and going to the casino to play the slots! But most of all, she loved her family. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Stephen; three children, Patti Jones; Sonya (Paul) Guy; and Steve Jones Jr.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a special aunt, Rose; and spoiled dog, Muffy. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Virgil.
