Ruby Eastlick

Ruby M. Eastlick, 81, of Platteville, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Rev. Zayna Thompson will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Cornelia, WI. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Ruby M. Ruby was born on September 20, 1933 in Arthur, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jack and Mabel (Warne) Engels. She was united in marriage to Ralph Eastlick on June 16, 1951 at the Primitive Methodist Church in Platteville. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2011. Ruby graduated from Platteville High School. She worked for 22 years in food service at Glenview Commons, UW-Platteville. During which, she also got to assist in cooking for the Chicago Bears, when they were in town. Ruby enjoyed reading, bowling, ceramics, drawing, and in her younger years, square dancing. She is survived by five sons, Craig (Deb) Eastlick; Barth (Deb Claas) Eastlick; Brian (Amy) Eastlick; Mark (Diane Hastert) Eastlick; Shane Eastlick; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; sister, Karen (Jim) Murphy; brother, Lou (Vera) Geaheart. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; and son, Todd.
