William Kenneth Dolphin Sr., 89, of Platteville, died on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, Iowa. There will be no visitation or memorial service. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Ken was born on July 3, 1926, the son of Milton and Abigail (Jones) Dolphin. He was united in marriage to Betty Klinge on October 10, 1947 at Peace Lutheran Church. Ken is survived by his wife, Betty, of Platteville; five children, Junior and Joe, of Platteville; Jim, of Wausau; Judy Hardman and Janelle Dolphin, both of Texas; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry; grandson, James Dolphin; great-grandson, Jackson Kamps; two sisters, Arlene (Mickey) Smith and Isabel (Donald) Jones.
