I graduated with Dan and always thought so much of him. I am sorry to hear this unfortunate news. I would like his sister Kathy to know how we all just loved him and I tried to look up Kathy and Ken Klein with no luck. Maybe they have moved from Beloit. I met Dan's wife at one of our class reunions so I am sending her much sympathy. Such a great guy.

I worked with Dan at Unified Counseling Services back in the late 70's. He was a great guy, as a co-worker and friend. He will be missed.

Dan was a big influence in my professional career. We met professionally for the first time when I was 19 working at Unified Community Services Inpatient as a nurse. We remained colleagues in different roles the remaining 39 years. He has left a piece of himself with me which I hold in highest esteem. I will miss him dearly.

My sympathy to you Fawn and the rest of Dan's family. Dan was a mentor to me and role model for the type of mental health provider and man I wanted to emulate. God Bless!!

Fawncella-- Please accept the sympathies of the staff here at Villa Louis. We look forward to seeing you and your students every year. Ms. Klein-- (you'll always be Ms. Kubal to me)--I hope you remember me-- I am a former student whom you taught to play violin starting in 5th grade at Todd School and through high school at Beloit Memorial, a member of the Class of '76. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your brother. I was pleasantly surprised to learn from Fawncella that she was related to you when she visited us on a field trip. You, Miss Bergdorff, and Mr. DeBruyne each had a wonderful impact on not only me, but all your students. I thank you for that on behalf of all of us.

My condolences to Dan's family. I graduated with Dan from the UW-Madison School of Social Work in 1972 and remember him fondly. Since my retirement I have been helping the Madison School of Social Work connect with our alums and raise funds for student scholarships - Dan was a long-time supporter of the School and that was much appreciated. We will share notice of Dan's passing in our next Alumni Magazine. Mel (Morgenbesser) School of Social Work UW-Madison
