Mary Truog

Mary Joan Truog, 63, was born into eternal life on Friday, November 27, 2015 after complications of MDS, a blood cancer. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Three Lakes, Wisconsin. Chapel military rites will be accorded. Burial will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Milwaukee, at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Three Lakes Rescue Squad or St. Theresa's of Three Lakes Outreach Health Ministry. Mary is survived by her mother, Dolores Hibbard; three siblings, James (Barbara) Truog; Terry (Tim) Wood; Tom (Pam) Truog; sister-in-law, Joan Truog; nieces and nephews, Jamie (Stephanie) Truog, Nicole (Phil) Jenning, Mike Truog, Michelle (Greg) Jacak; Scott Truog, Lee (Heather) Wood, Ben (Kelli) Wood, Samantha Truog; and many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur J. Truog, Sr.; step-father, Sid Hibbard; brothers, Bill (Kathy) Truog, Dan and Art Truog.

Mary was born on December 2, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI. She served in the US Air Force from 1978 to 1994 as a Munitions Systems Craftsmen. Her medals included Commendation, Achievement, Outstanding Unit Award with Valor, Good Conduct, National Defense Service and Southwest Asia Service. She served in Kuwait and Operations Desert Shield during Desert Storm. She fulfilled overseas duty for five years in England. Mary Enjoyed fishing, especially on Seven Mile Lake and was a TV movie buff. Since moving back to Wisconsin in 2013, she treasured time spent with her mother, Dolores. Mary's last days were enjoyable under hospice care at the home of her sister, Terry and husband Tim. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
