Ruth Katherine Tiedemann, 96, of Platteville, formerly of Belmont died on Tuesday, December 08, 2015, at Our House Assisted Living, Platteville. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 220 Broadway, Platteville. Rev. Joel Voss will officiate. Ruth was born on September 8, 1919 in Lafayette County, daughter of Herman G. and Nora W. (Adickes) Tiedemann. For many years Ruth was a clerk in Belmont at the local grocery store where she worked for the many different owners. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre.
She is survived by her brother, Lloyd of Platteville; and nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, George Tiedemann, sisters-in-law, Sally and Delores Tiedemann.
