Mary A. Lancaster, 90, of Platteville, died on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Southwest Health Center. Private graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville. Pastor Mike Majeski will officiate. Friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Mary was born on September 11, 1925 in Platteville, Wisconsin, daughter of Frederick and Ethel (Ashby) Seemeyer. She was united in marriage to Harlan Dwight Lancaster on November 26, 1948 at the Darlington United Methodist Church, Darlington, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2004. Mary enjoyed doing genealogy. She always worked and kept busy taking care of her family and home.
She is survived by her son, Doug Lancaster of Platteville; son-in-law, Randy Kwallek of Lancaster, WI; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Harla Kwallek in 2009 and son, Fred in 1981.
