Obituary

Lorraine E. Lee, 93, of Platteville passed on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Epione Pavilion, Cuba City with her family by her side. Mass of Christian burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. Rev. Faustino Ruiz will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Memorials may be made to the Lorraine E. Lee Memorial Fund. Lorraine was born on December 16, 1922 in Glen Haven, Wisconsin, daughter of William and Mary (Schneider) Sudmeier. She was united in marriage to Merle Lee on July 28, 1947. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1983. She waitressed at the Garden Gate, Platteville, for 25 years. She loved writing poetry, playing cards, and reading. She had a great love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her four children, Brenda (Mike) Denn of Platteville; Linda (Michael) Olson of Peosta, IA; Debra (Steve) Sander of Melbourne, FL; and Dennis (Tracey) Lee of Platteville; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Knutson of Platteville; five sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and four brothers.
