To this union two children were born. Virginia had a courageous battle of being paralyzed for 25 years, due to a car accident. She was preceded in death by and infant son, River Lee; maternal grandparents; Orla Smith and Thelma Craig; paternal grandparents, Roy and Myrtle Kaufman; fathers, Kenneth Kaufman and Charles Heisz; and several aunts, uncles, and a few cousins.
