Obituary

Susan M. Prochaska, 64, of Muscoda, died on Friday, June 17, 2016 at UW Hospital, Madison. Susan was born on June 29, 1951 in Richland Center, Wisconsin, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Nankee) Drone. She was united in marriage to William Joseph Prochaska on July 26, 1991 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Muscoda. She worked for the Riverdale School District in food service, always wearing one of her hand crafted aprons.

Sue used her God given talents to bring happiness to family and friends. Each year she would create homemade Christmas ornaments and send birthday cards to all her nieces and nephews and she loved to crochet. Afghans and baby blankets were her specialty. She always enjoyed her road trips with Bill, especially their annual trip to the Sturgis motorcycle rally. Things she treasured were time spent with her grandchildren, antiquing, and going to flea markets. Sue also enjoyed camping and sitting around a good campfire. She had a great love of nature, tending to her flower gardens and birds, especially the blue birds. Sue had a heart that opened up for all of her family to fit in as she cherished them all so much.

Sue is survived by her husband, William Joseph Prochaska of Muscoda; three children, Tricia (T.J.) Krueger of Muscoda; Jared Reetz of Muscoda; Elizabeth West of Plain; three grandchildren, Kaylee and Max Krueger and Shelby West; brothers and sisters, Patrick (Jacalyn) Drone of Roxbury, WI; Peter (Judy) Drone of Bloomington, WI; Timothy (Carla) Drone of Sturgis, SD; Michael Drone of Blue River, WI; Kevin “Chuck” (Emma) Drone of Muscoda; Theresa (John) Bridger of Monroe, WI; Rita (Monte) Bauer of Richland Center; Sarah (Byron) Anderson of Menomonie, WI; Christine (Spencer) Peterson of Baraboo, WI; Richard (Jennifer) Drone of Muscoda; mother-in-law, Mary Prochaska of Muscoda and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
