Delores J. Langkamp, 84, of Platteville died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Epione Pavilion, Cuba City. Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Rev. Brenda Whitford will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Memorials may be made to the Delores J. Langkamp Memorial Fund. Delores was born on May 30, 1932 on the “Old Mill Farm”, Grant County daughter of Melvin A. and Margaret E. (Parish) Davies. She was united in marriage to Guerdon P. Langkamp on May 15, 1952 at St. Mary's, Platteville. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2008. Delores worked at the Burgess Battery Factory and later at Fendall both in Platteville. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, board games and classic movies. She and Guerdon enjoyed camping and antiquing together. She was an avid Badger and Packer fan. Most importantly Delores loved being with her family.
She is survived by her two children, Daniel (Bobbie) Langkamp of Waterford, WI; Cathy (Wayne) Simmons of Platteville; four grandchildren, Chad (Kelley) Langkamp, Jason (Kelsie) Simmons, Ryan Simmons, Alyssa (fiancé, Jacob Kieler) Simmons; five great-grandchildren, Chase & Sierra Langkamp, Mia, Ty and Austin Simmons; one sister, Constance Olszewski; sister-in-law, Issy Manuell and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, stillborn son, Scott, and brother, Melvin.
