Obituary
Ila Belle Heinrichs, 86, of Platteville, died on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Finley Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Deacon Bill Bussan will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, at a later date. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Ila Belle Heinrichs Memorial Fund. Ila Belle was born on April 21, 1930 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Willis and Belle (Hirsch) Storres. She was united in marriage to Robert Heinrichs on August 18, 1949 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Platteville. Ila graduated from Platteville High School and then worked at Burgess Battery Factory until its closing. She then went to work for many years at the Platteville Hospital in housekeeping. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and their Altar Society, as well as, the Platteville Elks Lodge. She was an avid Packers and Badger fan. She enjoyed playing euchre, bingo, and doing word search puzzles. She enjoyed watching the Bachelor, Dancing With The Stars, and visiting with friends on the phone.
Ila Belle is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert “Bob” Heinrichs; daughter, Vicki (Mike) Worachek of Platteville; grandson, Tony (LeaAnn) Worachek of McFarland, WI; two great-grandsons, Jack and Michael; and special friend, Kelly Burkholder. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant twin sister, and a sister, Fern.
