Larry D. Roling, 56, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died on Friday, July 15, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. Family and friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Father Bernie Rott will lead a scripture wake service at 7:00 p.m. Private family burial will take place at Holy Ghost Catholic Church Cemetery, Dickeyville, at a later date. Larry was born on May 18, 1960 in Cuba City, Wisconsin, son of Leo and Regina (Radabaugh) Roling. He attended Cuba City High School. On July 25, 1981 he was united in marriage to Teresa Staub at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Dickeyville. Larry farmed and for 18 years he worked at Advance Transformer, Platteville, until it closed. He then worked at Cuba City Machine and Daleo. He was a jack of all trades where he worked doing small engine repairs, tending to lawns and landscaping. He enjoyed gardening, camping, hunting, fishing and he was an exceptional cook. Larry enjoyed helping others and following the Packers. Larry really enjoyed woodworking and took great pride in giving gifts to family and friends of what he made. Larry loved to spend time with and reading to his three grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife, Teresa; two children, Jessica and Cody Roling of Dickeyville; three grandchildren, Lilly, Alyssa, and Ashton; sister, Diane Roling of Platteville; Steve (Joyce) Roling of Dickeyville; father and mother-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Marilyn Staub of Dickeyville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jo Roling, Tim (Ann Marie) Staub, Ann Staub, Joseph Staub, Alan (Tina) Burr and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerry, Tom, Ron, sister, Kathy Roling, sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Staub in infancy, Pamela Burr and brother-in-law Mike Staub.
