Kara L. LuGrain (Vosberg), 31, of Cedar Rapids, IA, formerly of Cuba City, WI, died on Monday September 19, 2016 in Cedar Rapids. Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Rev. Michael Short will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Kara L. LuGrain Memorial Fund. Kara was born on September 7, 1985 in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Dixie (Meana) Vosberg. Kara was currently working as a CNA at Discovery Living in Cedar Rapids. She had also just passed courses to become and EMT and was going to go on to become a paramedic. Kara had a big heart; always wanting to help others and often put their care before her own. She greatly enjoyed kayaking, snowboarding, and horseback riding. She also enjoyed spending time with her Grandma Meana and her dog and companion, Jackson. Kara is survived by her parents; Dixie (Mike) Vosberg of Cuba City, WI; partner, Andrea Edwards of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandma, Beverly Meana of Platteville, WI; brother, Jacob LuGrain of Harrisburg, NC. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Robert Meana, and uncles, Stanly and Dean Meana.
