Lois was raised by her mother and older siblings after losing her father at age 9. She graduated from Benton High School and worked briefly at the Cuba City hemp plant and then Dubuque Packing Company. Primarily a homemaker, she also worked briefly for Fendall and enjoyed her time demonstrating foods in area super markets and caring for children in her home.
Some of her favorite hobbies included playing cards, bowling, and pitching horseshoes. Family and children were most important to her and she cherished visits from her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her many friends.
Lois is survived by her four children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
