Obituary

Jane L. Pluemer, 81, of Platteville, died on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, Iowa.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. Rev. Faustino Ruiz will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church.  Memorials may be made to the Jane L. Pluemer Memorial Fund. Jane was born on May 17, 1935 in Grant County, Wisconsin, daughter of Leo and Jessie (Bell) Klein.  She was united in marriage to Parnel I. Pluemer on May 31, 1952 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville.  He preceded her in death on December 16, 2000.  Jane worked and managed One Hour Martinizing in Platteville for many years until she retired.  After she retired she worked for a few years at Hometown Laundry and Tanning, Platteville.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville and was an active member and past president in the Altar Society.  She enjoyed riding horses,bowling, playing euchre, hosting card club and camping with the family.

Jane is survived by five children, Stephen (Laura) Pluemer of Cuba City, WI; Jeffrey (Karla) Pluemer of Platteville; Roxanne (Alan) Upmann of Edmund, WI; Jayne (Dennis) Stark of Platteville; and Joni Brugger of Platteville; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Janice (Toby) Hubbard of Platteville; four brothers, Herbert (Dorothy) Klein, Vernelle (Lorita) Klein, Merle Klein all of Platteville; Bill (Ruth) Klein of Stoughton, WI; brother-in-law, Jim Vondrum of Arthur; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Sandy Vondrum, and sister-in-law Alice Klein.

Jeff, Steve, Jane and all of your family. We are deeply sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother. We watched as you gave her excellent care in hear declining years. She is watching over all of you from heaven. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you go through the loss of Jane.
